Possible to convert 300RUM to a mag?

I have a Remington 300 RUM XCR and would desperately like to see it converted to a mag.
Anybody done this or seen it done yet?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As one of the old guys the last thing I would want on a rifle like this would be a mag.

Edit. I get it, you want a detachable magazine.

Too Long

I think the RUM is too long for the Kwik Klip conversion that you can no longer find. Last I recall it would handle 7mm RM as the longest cartridge. They are nice and change the rifle to a center feed but reduce capacity by one usually.

The gun has a drop plate and they just don't do it for me. I hate the fact there is a possibility one of my rounds may hit the dirt when dropping out the plate to retrieve any unused rounds.
My 7mm and 30-06 have 'detachables' and I guess I have just got used to using them.

You can use a kwik klip convertion need to slot the mag & the box ,It works just fine
Have just finished a Rem 700 awr.

I have installed 2 with a model 700 LA magazine with a center feed follower. Keeps your gun a remington without the quick clip conversion. No issues, plus you can get the mags in stainless to match the gun.
