I have been looking for a while and can not seem to find a reasonably prices No.4 Enfield. I checked EllwoodEpps but for a decent one they want like 480. Just wondering if anywone knows where one could get a decent shooter for a decent price? Thanks. Im also new here and I know these forum sites can be very useful.

Hi there LE No4Mk1,

Elwwood's good to deal with. Also, there's a guy in Sherbrooke, QC, P&S Militaria who has usually a good selection. Happy shopping!

I will also check local news paper and here in New Brunswick we have a buyer flyer and super saver which are great for finding all kinds of stuff.....even rifles. Also watch for estate auctions. I've heard of people getting amazing deals.

Well i found some Longbranch ones with 2 groove bores for a ok price. Is their any major difference in performance from a 2 groove bore over a four or five groove?

I would just advise, if you're under 30, or look under 35 don't even bother with Epps. I'm 23, and have never been treated with any sort of respect or friendliness when I've gone in there. And I'm the cleanest cut looking white kid you've ever seen...

I'd check out P&S Guns and Militaria (google it). They're great to deal with over the internet, are 100% honest in their discriptions, and have a bunch of No.4's at the moment.

I bought a M1 from P&S Militaria,...Jean is a very honest guy..and he knows his stuff....he has some No.4 rifles on his website....he might have a nice one for you...

It's a screw that goes through the forend ahead of the magazine cut out (from side to side), to help maintain the structural integrity of the forearm in tropical climes/extremes of climate that can be found in places like India. It does not hurt the gun but some find them ugly, but it's not bubba work fwiw.

collector's source is another place that usually has some nice LE's; I think they have some now, also zefarm might be a good place to look.
