I have a sendero and the grip on the stock is too large for my tastes. Does anyone know if HS precision make stocks for a remington 700 with a smaller grip than the one on the sendero? Would anyone know of any other makes avalable. I would like a light stock for a sheep rifle in a grey or green spiderweb color.

There are many different options from HS. Try their site and look at the models they have. On top of that you have a few other manufacturers that make nice synthetic stocks for the 700. In my opinion the HS is the best all round stock but I'm sure guys will disagree.
You could probably talk to the guys at ATR (Alberta Tactical Rifle) as they deal with a few stock manufacturers and they seem like really good guys to deal with.

Thanks. No need to get anyone excited but wholesale sports appear to have some bell and carlson carbelite stocks on for a good price. It may be some mistake.
McMillan EDGE is probably the best stock available in the configuration you're looking for. It has a slender "open" grip and will finish 21 to 23 oz's. I'd keep it attached to something in the recoil realm of the 7mm Rem Mag or less. But it's pricey.

If the palm swell is the problem, look around for a used Sendero HS Precision stock from the early/mid 1990s. No palm swell, just like the VS stocks of the same era. I've got both Senderos and VS models with those stocks and no palm swells. Black with the gray spider-webbing.
