Or, order direct from hogue. They have a been a pleasure to deal with in my experience. Hopefully that hasn't changed with the post 9/11 export nonsense(?).

I just got dinged $11.50 customs charge from ordering a $20 fore-end from getgrips.com. Never happened when I ordered my pistol grips, but this time I got dinged. Probably some recession inspired "drum up customs money" by the government.

I don't know about prices at wolverines for Hogue grips, but service is good, plus no surprises.

It's changed. I tried, they said no. (although other have been successful, I guess it depends who receives the order.)
Cabella's said no also.

I thought it was all good as long as it was under $100?

$100 dollar rule only applies to rifles and rifle parts.

Q4. I want to buy parts in the US for my firearm and import them into Canada.
A4. The US controls on the export of firearms extends to parts also. For small orders worth less than US$100.00 the US Department of State allows an exemption from the export licence. This exemption, however, does not cover ‘significant’ parts which includes; barrels, slides, cylinders, bolts, frames and receivers. It should be noted that there is no equivalent exemption offered by the Department of Commerce for shotgun parts. Further, there is no exemption for ammunition or ammunition components. Canadian importers should follow the procedure outlined in Q1 (above) to import parts not exempted.

There's a difference between a rifle stock and a shotgun stock!?!?!?:runaway: I thought our laws were stupid!:jerkit:

Hogue, being a big company, must have paid the big bucks for the export permit to Canada, I'm assuming.
