Wow, that is a lot of plastic.

We hit 2 deer about ten years ago with a diamondplate winch bumper up front. There was nothing but hair, burger and bones left. Truck lost one signal light lens.

nice ram... to bad....a real waste foresure....like reflexzero said a diamondplate bumper would have made a huge difference those things are tough (if you ever redo a classic car make sure you put in diamond plate flooring)

If both the truck and the ram were dead I would say the ram won. Look at the damage to the truck and the ram has very little it looks like.

Only one airbag?

like reflexzero said a diamondplate bumper would have made a huge difference

to be more specific a road armour or ARB bumper would have made a word of differance... the factory stuff is just supposed to look pretty...

my old man hit a big BC mulie about 20yr's ago in a duce N a 1/2 at 45-50mph... dident even chip the paint on the winch bumper.

Well, it wasn't decorative diamondplate. It was mean and green, with a winch!

Anyhow, that picture up top illustrates what happens when a tall vehicle meets a semi-stocky animal. If that had been a moose, big barrel on spindly long legs, things could have turned out quite differently for those in the cab.

I could buy into that as we have them here from time to time, but most road maintanence companies no longer use salt and the photo dosnt suggest winter atall or winter conditions, I also relise that yes animals are atracted to roads as a truck driver I get to see a few here and there. notice the LMAO at the end of the comment to....

now a more realistic common scenario.....buddies driving to fast and sees some sheep on the side of the road, starts looking at them to only look up and see 1 right in front of his truck and bang dead sheep

how about some explanations?

Why are there no skid marks from the front tires?

Why does it appear that the rad emptied on this spot and on the animal, yet there is no other debris?

Was the animal hit and then hung there, then this spot (due to the rad leak) must be where the vehicle stopped, but still no skids or debris?

Why no blood from the nose or mouth?

Just curious....

This is what was written in the email:

"A really nice Ram that was hit about the 125 mile marker on I90 near Rock Creek outside of Missoula , MT on Thursday 12/11. The Ram was still stuck in the grill when we arrived and I had to force it out. From point of impact to where the vehicle stopped was better than 200 feet. Needless to say the Chevrolet was not drivable after this one......"
