Ok.......

I am watching Talvistoi..........which by the way is a great movie.

Anyway.......the finnish troops are running an LMG that I have never seen before.

It is mag fed with a curved mag. The recieve is very boxlike in natrue.

The barrel is covered with a perforated jacket.

There is a bipod on the front.

The but stock is wooden.

Did the Madsen come with a mag that fed from UNDER? Because that is where this one feeds. I thought Madsens were top fed like BRENs.

The LS 26 was also made in .303 British for possible sale to the UK.. Those are as rare as chicken lip sausage. I don't think they have one in the Huge military Museum in Helsinki (that I saw and forgot to ask). I'm not even sure if they are mentioned in Palogkanga's monumental book on Finn arms, but they do exist.....
