M14 Clinic around Calgary?

yes..... i have the credentials :D

i'll be discussing with my friend who does our gas assemblies out here.... possibly i can bring the Miller suitcase TIG with me on the road...... we'll see

I was wondering if anyone is planning to hold a clinic in the Calgary area?

Nuno.... you started this! You are elected the official attendance keeper. Please compile a list of committed attendees on your original post. All, please PM Nuno. 45 what are your expenses to attend Calgary?

Guys.... give me one week..... then let's get down to hammering out the details. Based on the response so far, I'd be happy to take a road trip to calgary and edmonton.

I know Hungry's fee for the clinics is generlly 35.00 to cover his flights and acomodations .... not sure what else he provides that is covered in that cost. I'm driving..... and am not comfortable with taking anyones money for my clincs. BUT contributions to the fuel fund wouldn't be turned down :D
Also, if there is any cost asociated with facilities that may get usd for a clinic, this will need to be spread amognst the attendees.

otherwise.... we will just need one coordinator for calgary and one coordinator for Edmonton to message me in a week with a location, details on location .... and we can discuss dates and get something concrete.

Sosa was going to look into running things for the edmonton event.... perhaps he will post in this thread..

Calgary would be much easier for me, and I would have no problem throwing some cash in for the fuel fund. Hopefully it will fall on one of my days off - if not I will still try to get the day off anyway. Also, I have almost no welding knowledge, so a quick question: is a TIG welder the same as a MIG welder?

Just a thought... If there is enough interest for a clinic in both Edmonton and Calgary, right on - but if it turnsshould turn out that there is not enough interest to make 2 clinics worthwhile, then what about meeting halfway and having one clinic in Red Deer. I know that for you city dwellers just driving across the city is considered quite a hike, but 45ACPKING is coming from B.C., and I am asuming there would be a number of us traveling from outside the cities anyway? It makes no difference to me, I would be travelling either way - just thinking out loud...

I'm o.k. with hitting both Calgary and Edmonton BUT it will have to be back to back weekends. meaning i leave on friday, clinic on weekend.... arrive in next location in time for clinic the next weekend. Edmonton is an easy one for me as i have family to visit and hang out with. And want to arrange some time on the gopher fields between the two weekends

Unfortunately it doesn't have that but offers a large classroom about twice the size of the Shooting Edge classroom we used for the !st Calgary clinic

...and a 900m range?
We could tie in some load development & shooting if that is the case...
I'd be in.

I'd be in for sure, I want to accurize my m14.

Usually it's limited to 5-6 people so I was wondering if we have a high turnout maybe we could see about renting a community hall and splitting the costs among the guests. If there are 30 of us and we have to pay an extra 10-20$ each I wouldn't mind.

I'd be down for hitting up either Edmonton or Calgary (coming from Saskatoon). I should already have been to Hungry's Winnipeg clinic by then, but I wouldn't mind going to another one.

We would be interested in hosting once again. Also note that since last time, we have enlarged the classroom and added a gunsmith shop.
