Just wondering if any one else has experiniced this problem.cartridge doesn,t all ways line up with the chamber.wondering if i have a bad clip.

I am having the same problem with my mk II. I recently picked up this gun and have been out to shoot it only once. The clip sits really loose in mine and if I hold it forward while cycling the bolt it loads ok. I tryed a new clip in my and its still the same..... I am planing on calling savage to see if there is a fix for it.

I have ordered 2 spare mags have not recieved them yet. the mag i have is a loose fit it has a small amount of movement when cliped in the mag well. do you think this could be my problem.

Your talking the metal rear end of the clip? You bend it forward or back? Or the tabs that hold the shells from poping out?

my MKII too...

I have a MKII G that also has feeding issues. The rounds feed angle is too low/accute and the bullets catch on the feedramp. If I push the (very sloppy) magazine forward it raises the angle of approach of the round and feed well.

The mag rails probably need to be modified as you have mentioned...thanks for that input.

If I understand you correctly I should bend the ears that hold the cartridges in the clip down more causing the cartridge to go down at the rim as its pushed forward.this will make the cartridge come out of the clip at a steeper angle.thanks for the tip greatly appricated.

Hey lovemonkey tried what you suggested.I also squised the track on the clip that slides over the mag well rail.WOW what an improvement feeds true every time.thank a million RB

I got my issue resolved also. I played around with the clip lip and it didn't seem to help too much.
I think this maybe what you are referring too rembolt. I ended up adjusting the magazine retaining spring. I loosened the screw that held it in place and used a small screwdriver to wedge it forward while pushing the mag spring down and once it slide forward a mm or so it pulled the mag spring down and therefore making the magazine tight. Now I can cycle rounds with out issue!! Here is a pic that I took to help describe.

what kind of groups are you getting at 50 yrds

When I held the clip and reloaded I was getting about 3/4 inch... when I pushed the round in and was rubbing while loading was alot worse like 2 inches. Now that it is cycling properly it should be what I was getting while hold the clip up while loading ~ 3/4 inch.

YEs must say im impressed with the accuracy.i shot a 3 shot group with my bipod on the gun about 3/8th of an inch at 50 yds and just slightly over 1 inch at 100 yds.think this is awsum for a gun under 300$.Thanks guys again for your help .RB ps I was shooting federal 50 gr jhp muzzle velocity 1530 ft/sec.
