Sporteque?

And +1 for service. Everytime I went there he let me handle anything I wanted. I remember asking him to see a kimber, and he put 8 of em on the table with a big smile asking me wich one I prefered...:dancingbanana:

I think they are dedicated but busy people!

Can anyone else verify that the Glock17's they sell do not have "Smyrna, GA" stamped anywhere on them? Do they really get their Glocks straight from Austria?

Any pics of this?

INCLUDING the G17 before you ask AGAIN
Directly from austria, with 3 mags instead of the normal 2, but no cable lock.
I repeated myself but you asked for it. :)

You can read: MADE IN AUSTRIA Glock Ges.m.b.H. on the slide.... Oh and the lil kind of NPv logo wich indicates in wich factory it was made...

I dealed once with the sportheque and I am very pleased with the service...very fast and honest, specially I ordered by phone no deposit but they ordered it, and got my stuff in less then a week

I've owned the 2. The one who came from Austria (with related markings) seemed to be better finished (metal) with less machine marks. If I can choose, I go with the Austrian made. But, there's nothing wrong with a Glock coming from the USA.

My 2 cents :)

Canuckshooter, why you didn't call em first instead of asking here? FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, there was NO AVAILABLE SMYRNA the 5-10 times I went there. Jeez, people just want to win arguments on forums or what?????????

I was correcting what you said about Sporteque having no made in USA Glocks so that people on here would know. If someone was looking specifically for a made in USA Glock and they saw your post saying that they carried none, they might not even bother calling Sporteque, which may cost them a sale.

My first question in my post was asking what people thought about their experience with Sporteque. You think I should have called them and asked "Hi, I was just wondering... the service at your store... would you rate it as good or poor?" ;D

Chill out man, you're getting all bent out of shape over nothing.

For what it's worth...if anyone is interested, the guy at Sporteque has been very good about emailing me back quickly, and answering all my questions.

Reviving this thread

I just receive my G17 in OD green from Sporteque and i've had 2 good surprises.
1-The GLOCK is made in Austria, no Smyrna mark.
2-It came with 3 10 rounds mags :dancingbanana:

Thanks M. Ward.

BARRACUDA was wrong. False infos. Don't listen.
CanuckShooter was right.

this is not a weird thread, your being very hard on him. you need to chill.

this is actually a very informative thread, as some may like or be looking for a USA made glock 17, some may also be seeking the glock 17 with austrian import markings.

i have never heard of this sporteque .. also the 3 mags and no cable lock appeals to me to. i may give them some of my money.

+1 ... as someone who is just embarking on the PAL/RPAL route to get into the sport I have come across sporteque's site and was wondering the very same thing about their service and reliability.

thanks OP.
