M14 Vise and wrench on an M1

mine has bushings that are intended to do both m1 garand and M1a barrels, standard thru heavy profiles.
not sure about the receiver wrench but i'm thinkin probably.
 
What was said above... I have 2 of them, the 1 3/4" inch big bastard wrench from Princess Auto will work for both, but one might have to grind about a 1/16" (sixteenth) off the inside. And it will work on one way around the M1 Garand receiver ring and not the other way (when you try this , you will know what I mean).

Some concepts are impossible to explain over the internet and video, and that's why I gotta see you guys at clinics. Some concepts are 'feel' and they must be explained with my 'finger of authority' (ha ha ha LOL). :D

I am working on putting some detailed pics together of barrel vice and receiver wrench that can be easily made at home if you have some tools and access to a metal supply shop.

what about the bushings(aluminum)?
i bought a wrench(works for both garand and m14s) and the barrel vise.
for the barrel vise i received about 5 sets of bushings,4 are aluminum tubes with a slit cut but the one for the garand is 2-piece and works on a garand but i don't think it will work on an m14s(slips--anyone know the I.D.'s of the bushings for the garand and m14s?

If I remember correctly the garand barrel (I don't own one unfortunately) has a flat. The Garand bushing has two different IDs, one for the top and one for the bottom. The M-14 doesn't.
