Everyone wanted to see the 1914 Commercial Colt Government Model that I picked up so here it is with everything that came with it. I swirled the serial #, it isn't worn away. 4 digit commercial #. I'm probably going to sell off some of the extra grips, the stock, a brass catcher, and some mags so keep an eye out for them on the EE. There is abit of pitting on the slide but pretty good over all. I went to the range and ran thru a couple mags to make sure it functions fine, now to be cleaned and into the safe. It even came with a scope mount!!!

What kind of letter would I send for..it's history? The main spring housing/cover comes off and a new one goes on with a grove in it and the stock slides on.

Nice!
Looks like you've got the correct mag as well.
I'd send away for a letter from Colt.
How does that stock work?

Has the mainspring housing been slotted out for the shoulder stock?

On the pink grips... I recall seeing plastic wrap-around style grips like those come in a "five pack" about 20 years ago down in the 'States. There was one of: pink, yellow, bright blue, bright green and black in a vacume sealed pack. There is a gold medallion on each side of the grips but I can't recall what it said. The texture on the black set very closely matched the Colt wraparound grips of the same era that had the Colt medallion grips on it. Anyway, those five packs of grips were ~ $10 US at the time for all five.

No it hasn't been slotted. The gribs have Auto Ordinance in the medallion. They will probably be on EE soon.

Is there any chance someone can PM me with what I should ask for the scope mount (replaces a grip and them comes over the top...pic rail. Also the stock, brass catchers, and the competition grips...far left, two up. On another note, is there a colt 1911 style that has a shorter grip? One box is marked 1911 Officers but the one screw doesn't line up and it seems shorter.

This is an example of why the 1911 is important to the firearms industry. One gun, all this...
