Russian SKS45 long thread.

Can someone post some pics on how to use these sights? Where does the adjustment thingy need to be for 50, 100, 200 yards and so on. Atleast mine does not have any line indicating what range I am on.

Since you have not been responded to, I will give it a shot.

If I read this right, you have no numbers identifying the distances on the rear sight??? This would is weird, it should be numbered 1 through 10, one being 100 meters, and 10 representing 1000meters.

--- Hey, Val, --- did you ever find any birch wood to try your stain on ?? wondering if you had started on that stock yet or not ??

Nope, I am gonna wait and see what Gary gets for SKS at the end of the month and if he has one I like better I will trade him. If not then I will figure out how to red mine!!!!!

No I have the numbers I just dont know where the small moveable piece has to be in order to be on a certain distance.

one more thing. dont use automotive thinner on the stock or the bolt and bolt carrier. they are painted and the stock has lacquer on it..unless your intention is to do some stripping and personalizing all other metal parts clean up fast with the thinner..mine has minwax ebony stain strips and minwax red oak on the rest..pics for your pleasure..
