Not quite. There is another reason why silver soldering a bayonet lug wouldn't be a good idea. It relates to the application of sufficent heat to silver solder the lug to the rib and the affect that heat will have on the soft solder holding the barrels and rib together.cause it couldnt be done under the barrels. and no one wants to bubba chicom guns right![]()

It's the same reason why many double guns cannot be hot blued without risking the barrels and rib separating and has nothing to do with Bubba or the merits of attaching a bayonet to these guns.
