For the last few years my hunting rifle rifle - A Remington 700 long action, Remington laminated stock, trigger worked to 2 pounds, Kwik-Klip conversion, 7mm - 08 24 inch Gaillard barrel,

Dennis, any particular reason for the long action, or just what you had on hand? Looks like it works well!

For the last few years my hunting rifle rifle - A Remington 700 long action, Remington laminated stock, trigger worked to 2 pounds, Kwik-Klip conversion, 7mm - 08 24 inch Gaillard barrel, Leupold dual dovetail mounts and a 3.5 x 10 Boone & Crockett. I have used 139 and 154 Hornady bullets. Both work well.

Dear Lord Dennis!

What's with the barber pole pimping?:p

If you ever need to borrow a real rifle just ask! :D

You still hunt moose up by Gault's cabin?

Moose hunted with my Sako m75ss 300WM with Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 scope and 180gr Accubond reloads-my tradition moose hunt rifle. My cow elk was taken with my Tikka T3 LS 270WSM with Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 BC reticle shooting 140gr Accubonds reloads just to mix it up. Used this rifle hunting whitetails but didnt see the 200+BC droptine whitetail...but it made it thru the season I know! NEXT YEAR

My Sako m75ss 243 with Leupold VX2 4-12x40AO LR duplex with 55 & 95gr Ballistic Silvertips for wolf/coyote...if I make it out at all....lol

Spring bear will initiate (hopefully) with my new Sako m75 Greywolf 338-06 Ackley Improved with Leupold VX3 3.5-10x40 scope and either 225gr Accubonds or TTSX's once the loads are developed and what shoots the best.

300 H&H in a 700 of course.
168 TSX

Going to retire the 300 this year.

Moosies beware the new mighty 416 Remington.:D

Model 700 CDL SF .30-06, Elite 3200 3-9x40, 180Gr. Scirocco's.

Insucesso :(.

Old man took two 45" bulls with his M77 MKII .270 WSM with 150gr. Accu-tips  that c*nt.

Remington 760 30-06 with Bushnell Trophy 3X9. 180 Gr. Hornaday BTSP Interlock - 52 Gr. Winchester 760 powder. 2 shots through lungs @250Yds. Cow dropped about 100 yds from impact.

Browning A-Bolt 300WM with Leupold VX3 pushing 200 gr TSX. As always I carry a backup rifle 1895 with 350 gr Hornady.

If I know I am going to sit in the bush that day I will take the 1895. Otherwise I will carry the A-Bolt.

I now got the T3 and will be developing a TSX load, either 165 or 180 gr (depending which one shoot better). The T3 will replace my A-bolt in the future.

There really is no disadvantage as far as I am concerned... overall length is a problem sometimes with the -08 case or anything on the 6mm Rem case in a short action... but mainly I wanted to use a Kwik-Klip and they are only made for the long action.

LOL...:D

I haven't been back up by Bill's place for a few years now... We try and get a draw and hunt a couple of hours west of Vanderhoof in 6-04.

Depends on where I hunting

When i was on my watch, I had my Win 70 SS in 270 WSM shooting 140 gr Accubonds. Other time when i was in the thick junk down near the swamps I used my Ruger M77 in 308. Cant recall the ammo I was using, 165 or 180 gr premium shell of some sort
