Any thoughts on the Norinco JW-2000-12 Coachgun? I am looking for a shotgun for Cowboy Action Shooting, and I have a tight budget at the moment.

Thanks!

I have one. Pleased with it for the price ($300 new). They do have some issues though. The fore stock fits loose (I used pieces of rubber quad cord wedged between the fore stock and the barrels to get a tight fit) and the screws will come loose during extended shooting (perhaps a small dot of blue loctite will help with this). Sometimes the action is hard to open when you go to remove your spent shells. The JW-2000 is lots of fun but for the same price check out the Dominion Arms Outlaw from Canada Ammo.

The Outlaw is the same gun only with shorter barrels and the intial reports on the gun are not encouraging. There are several in the forum.

I've shot a JW 2000 and taken one apart. They are the worst sxs I've ever seen. I believe a cowboy shooter would be better off buying a used Stevens 311 and getting the barrels cut or buying a Stoeger or Baikal coach gun.
