What should I buy?

I was thinking about buying another 12 gauge pump action that takes the 3.5 inch loads because I have had nothing but trouble with the mossberg 835 and Remington super mag from the day I bought them new. I was considering buying either the Browning BPS stalker or a Benelli Nova? What are your thoughts between the two or should I just go back to the 3 inch guns where I have never had trouble like this? The only reason I want the 3.5 is because I am a goose hunter and I like the heavy loads but if they are gonna cause trouble I may even buy a 10 gauge.

What kinda trouble? No offense intended the the problem may be you. I hate the BPS, and there is no comparison between the 870 and the BPS or Novas. The only complaint I've ever had about an 870 express super mag is the finnish, but that can be cured by one trip to the gunsmith for a proper parkerizing.

3" is nice too, but what is your problem with Moosberg or 870?

I had the Browning bps in 10ga, had it on a duck goose hunt for a weekend hunt. went through 3 boxes in 2 1/2 days. couldnt move my arm for 2 weeks without a sutle reminder not to do that again. I would sujest a good reminton wingmaster in 12ga 3" or the 870 express and never look back.

Why not switch to a semi. The good ones are just as reliable as a pump and much softer shooting.

The problem I have with my new Mossberg 835 waterfowler is it keeps jamming on me and I have had pump actions all my life but never had any problems until the mossberg. It does not happen every time but it does happen quite often. I have lost many geese because of this and it has just turned me from buying another Mossberg. It actually crushed a live 2 3/4 load the other day when I was cycling the pump and it also flicks the live shells in the magazine out the bottom when you pump it. I have tried pumping fast and slow but it still happens.

Yeah I think I am just gonna try another semi instead of the pump. I am stuck now between the Beretta extrema 3.5, the Benneli Super Black eagle, and the Browning Maxus

The new Browning looks interesting but I would give it a year to see if there are any "teething" problems. You can't go wrong with the other two though. If you really need a 3 1/2 in. gun.
