Franchi Highlander SXS

Just checked the Gold Label Ruger at WSS-they now want about $3500!!!
Franchi is looking even better. The one 20 with the streaks looks great!

WSS catalogue apparently isn't up to date.....their inventory may still have GLs, unlikely though. Anyway, Ruger is no longer manufacturing those at this time. Assuming you've spoken to WSS in person?

Non of these guns mentioned will compare to a fine English, Spanish , or Italian high end gun, but hthen the price doesn't either!!
An entry level AYA for instasnce, is over $4,000, and a Rizzini will run you that for sure.
However, the are pretty dependable, as good or beter better gun than the Baikals IMO, the chokes ae good ,from the ones I have shot, and they handle well.

I may have to rethink that L.C.Smith, Sako!!

Comparable ... maybe on par or a little better than a S & W Gold Elite, but below a Fausti Stefano DEA or Beretta 471 Silver Hawk. Superior to a Ruger, Yildiz, CZ, etc.,
but that's just my take.

No, I didn't mean to imply they had one in stock-only that they had a catologue price. From what I've been piecing together, these Franchis should be as good or likely better than the GL anyway and half the price. Makes me want to put some thought into it! :)

Just ordered a new Fausti!!:dancingbanana:
SXS, 26" barrels, impcyl/mod barrels, english stock, double triggers, case hardening - basicly old school SXS!:)
okay, it wasn't all this talk, it was the fact that I was captivated by the Fausti sisters!!:D

Good for you, Cat. Looks like a nice shotgun. Looks like the Fausti's are reasonably priced too.
 
Love that ad with the sisters as well. I keep fantasizing about their personalities and which one I would choose!

Love the guns even more though - maybe because I can actually get one! Is there a Canadian distributor or did you order yours from the US??

Almost hate to tell you this but I am the lucky owner of the Fausti sisters poster --- autographed by Barbara (thats the younger one holding the gun). BTW the Highlander is a steal at Clay's prices!!!!

Recommend mention your intention in the Equipment Exchange Forum (Exchange of Shotguns) - that will get more exposure and responses to your Ad. Some details + images pertinent to the sxs will go a long way as well.

You may need to request for access to the EE if you haven't already done so.
 
I own a Franchi highlander 20 and it is one sweet carrying little gun. It fits me wonderfully and I will never sell it. I paid quite a bit more for it than these too. :(
