I have had a G17 for some time now and am still waiting to have a failure of anykind. I love the trigger and the grip. It's nice not to have to think about a decocker or safety while shooting IDPA. Would the G21 give me all the love my G17 gives me? Reliability?

Thanks In Advance!

I love my g21.... but right now financial concerns make me sell it.

you do know that the glock 21 in CDP is blowing away guys with full blown custom 1911's eh :)

sure it may not be the gun but the shooter skill, but still.... a glock 21 eating 1911's for breakfast.

anyway I have yet to have an failure on any glock I have owned and I have owned just about every different model including half a dozen g21's.

I just wish .45 auto was cheaper.

So many better guns in .45ACP than a Glock....

That being said, yes, it will shot bullets, and yes, they will go more or less where you point it.

Love my Glock in .45. Few people call it "the best" but I am hard pressed to say anything negative about it.

so many guns worse than a G21 also:rolleyes: including some overpriced 1911`s

That being said mine goes bang everytime, it`s a glock enough said..If you can`t shoot accurate with them well it`s just you not the gun.. people love to hate em because they work so well.

I kinda regret selling mine. Like others have said it was very accurate and reliable but a tad large for my hands. It ain't 'pretty' but function over form and it does function very well.

+1

Big time 1911 fan here.

I do shoot & respect the Glock, though. Got a lotta rounds down the pipe of a certain Glock 22 .40 cal that proves this. But always found the G21 [and G20 for that matter] don't fit me well.

Even if you shoot a G17 well & love it handle a G21 and hopefully shoot one a bit before you decide to buy.

I have, and enjoy, my 1911's, SIG's,etc., in all calibres, but my favourite gun in 45ACP is my G21.
It's accurate, digests whatever you feed it, and the polymer frame soaks up the recoil better for me than an all steel gun.
I have average sized hands, and the grip poses no real issues for me.
My all time favourite, 'go to' gun would be any of my 9MM Glocks (19, 17, or 34), but when I go to the range, it's a rare occaision when the the G21 doesn't 'come along for the ride!'
If you like your G17, and can manage the larger grip of the G21, you'll love this as well!

I love my Glock 19 so don't think I am a hater or anything, I'd just prefer something in a 1911 platform or a SIG P220 or something from HK.

You like trigger on the Glock??? OMG....
You have to be very skilled to shoot Glock accurately
When I got the Glock 17 first time I was NOT able to hit a bus with it in 10 yards :)
Now over the time yeah Me shoots Glock better....

Thanks for all the feedback. I already have a .45 but like so many others here I have been bitten by the bug! I am trying my hardest not to buy a G21 but my desire is winning over.

Interesting, I have above average hands. Not baseball mit class but bigger than average. I don't find the G21 or G20 fit me well at all.

Maybe it's due to ~ 30 years with the 1911, ~ 25 years with the BHP and ~ 14 years with the Glock 22 .40 cal....

No question the big frame Glocks are a great choice for some, though. And afterall that's the point.

My G21 was a very soft shooter and very accurate for a duty pistol. The only reason I switched to the G17 was the cost of 45acp.

look at the specs for the g30 and compare them to the G36.... not much difference at all. get the g30

Was just checkin that actually, just a bit wider but you have 9+1 rounds :)

I think Questar is out but I know Dlask have some G36's.

Wes: If your 1911 Commander would be in .45 I'd seriously consider it....
