HELP!

I am new to the whole reloading/casting experience, so please excuse me if I ask a question for which all you old-time experts already know the answer. :nest:

I am trying to find a Canadian dealer - preferably a CGN sponsor - who actually stocks Lee bullet molds. I have queried several CGN sponsors by telephone or e-mail, and only a couple have even bothered to respond. Those who have responded tell me they only special-order molds.

Right now my two "wants" are a 9mm 124 Gr. truncated cone bullet, and a similar weight bullet for 7.62x39 Russian.

In the Lee catalog, they have two different types of TC bullet for the 9mm, one with "micro-groves", which I gather means easier lubricating if you use their sizer/lubricator. However, I have had zero luck in finding either mold, in any configuration - single bullet, double, or 6 at a time.

Does anyone know of a Canadian dealer who actually stocks Lee molds for sale, rather than just listing them in their catalog like WHS and Epps? Or would I be better just to order straight from Lee?

While we're on the subject, can anyone recommend a good mold for casting 124 Gr. (or so) bullets to reload 7.62x39, preferably from a company that sells in Canada. It would be even better if the mold was not made from solid bar platinum and priced accordingly.:)

Thanks,
FB

P.S. The two 9mm Lee molds I was looking at are:

9mm Luger
124 Gr. Tumble-Lube (Micro-groove) Truncated Cone
Mold code TL-356-124-TC
Double Mold Lee # 90238 (preferred)

9mm Luger
120 Gr. Single Groove Truncated Cone
Mold code 365-120-TC
Double Mold Lee # 90239

x3 for Higginsons. They are good to deal with and have Lee products in stock. Don't waste your time with SIR or WSS, they never have what you need in stock anyway.

Email can be a pain for a business. Wading through all the crap to answer general questions can take a lot of time.

Get the phone number on the website and call. They've been great everytime I've called. I don't like to put things like addresses and credit card info in together in email anyway.

Well, I've sent an e-mail query and a typed letter to Higginsons, and received no response. Maybe they don't like dealing with Westerners?

Do you have access to a phone?

Maybe someone here can volunteer to find what you want, buy it and mail it to you without delay. You don't seem so high maintenance. Anyone?

Pick up the phone and call. Don't ##### about the unanswered e-mail and letter. Don't accuse them of being anti-western, and don't lecture them on how to run their business. You might end up with some molds.

Just call midsouth shooters in the USA they don't monkey around, at the same time you might want to consider better quality molds, like Lyman, RCBS, or Saeco, they also sell Lee!
