Parker hale m82-m87-C3-C3A1 Rifles

This is a C3A1 cleaning kit - just minus the pull through - mixed in with all my other mess:D

That is the box and oiler for the 9mm SMG C1. The plastic brush was in the long zippered cleaning kit for the FNC1A1. Obviously someone liked them both enough to keep a bunch in stock for the C3A1 sniping rifle.

This is it. Missing is a small bottle of breakfree. What is the small diameter T handle rod for? C7?

The handstop shown has a retaining plate for an Anschutz style rail...the C3A1 does not use this part and the correct one screws into the steel rail that's installed in the stock. The later variation handstop assembly and bipod are commerical.....the first generation one is correct and your most fortunate to have it. Don't want to get too picky here as it's great to see this stuff posted.

The detactable swivel is a special with 4 bearings and a push button...generally did not come with the handstop. What your suggesting may work however it must be an exact configuration. This item is very difficult to find in the correct diameter so it will not pull out of the handstop socket.

I found the zipper kit, Its green but only has the brush, wrench, pull through and the the T-handle and rods in it. Also two brushes on thin twisted wire handles. says cleaning kit 1985 on it. Picked this up in a box of odds and ends at a auction a few years back.

Thats an FN C1A1 cleaning kit - not used with the C3/C3A1.

Some parts like the jags and brushes will work.

The handstops came with the rail adapter. They can be spun off the screw, which is what we did in the C3A1's case. Then the hole thing screws onto the handstop rail. The sling loop was on the 100 plus handstops I saw sitting in the parts bin.

Both styles of bipods were used - the handstop and bipods shown are all from the C3A1 contract. All the PH was bought by myself when they had stockpiles of the stuff laying around at Martinello. These bipods come right out of the same stock inventory that the CF drew on as well.

Every piece was available from them - they had no exclusive contract with the CF, so they sold the stuff carte blanche. They were also the PH sole distributor in Canada, as well as North America. That changed when Navy Arms in the USA bought the remaining spares in the PH bankruptcy.

From there it was a free for all with the remining M82 thru M87 rifles and parts.

Carl....could you check and see if these fit the Parker Hale handstop socket...they look longer and may not seat as a result, pull out...result could be disasterous. Correct diameter .3750"; projection .310"; no knurling; inside width of swivel 1.50". The 4 bearings detent when the push button activates.

Brownells sells what Redman is showing...these are Uncle Mike's QD 100's 1" swivel however and most likely too narrow for the C3 sling. Part # 593-101-100 US$ 19.95 for the pair. Like I said...pls ensure these don't pull out.

Thats the Uncle Mikes ones. They will work no problem.

The cutouts are the same diameter.

Hey, good to hear - I guess I'll find out today or Monday when they get here.

You sure it's UM's? They came with a Blaser sling, wonder why they'd go with an overseas third party for them...

Redman:
where did you pick up the quick disconnect swivels.
Regards Tm

I got the sling and swivels from Alan Rhone in the UK; not sure if they can sell you think swivels only, though. Best bet might be to go with Carl's suggestion.

Will an epoxy be strong enough to hold the bases for the disconnects in a fibreglass stock. Or are these for wood stocks only.
I like the idea that they are flush when removed for shooting from the bench or off of the pod mount.
Carl
Great set of pictures, gives anyone looking exactly what is being talked about.
