Can anyone tell me if the 270 wsm is suitable for the 600 repid z or the 800 rapid z conquest? Different calibres are recommended for different rifles

Here is what I pulled off the site. Looks like you can buy a 600 for the .270.

Rapid-Z® 600 Standard Hunting .243, .270, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .325 WSM, etc.
Rapid-Z® 800 Standard Hunting / Ultra Mag .300 Ultra Mag, .338 Ultra Mag, etc.
Rapid-Z® 1000 Sniper / Tactical .308 Win.
Rapid-Z® Varmint Fast, Light-weight Bullets .204 Ruger, .220 Swift, .22-250, etc.

The 270 has a different trajectory from a 270 wsm. I recently sold a 600 as the instructions said that that a 7mm rem mag was suited to the 800

I would agree. The trajectory of the .270wsm flatter then those in the Rapid Z 600 listed there, much closer to the .300 Ultra mag class (and in my experience a touch better) so I would believe that would be proper recticle. Here's a crazy idea thoug...why don't you email or call Zeiss? For the kind of money their optics cost, I would expect excellent presales and post sales support. It's also a good way to find out how they treat their future customers, which can be an indicator of how they will treat you after you buy too.

I thnk that is the best bet

A buddy put a Rapid Z 800 on his 270 and seems to be happy with it. I chose a Rapid Z 1000 for my 308win T/C Icon. Works great. If anyone needs a Rapid Z 800 (3.5-10x50), I am offering one FS and NIB.

I ve got a Tikka T3 in 270wsm I mounted a Zeiss conquest 3.5-10x44 with the rapid z 800 reticle and am very happy with it. With 140gr Accubonds and 150gr sst loads i ve had 3 shot groups averaging .5 moa at 100 yds Zeiss has an excellent ballistic calculator on their website for making up a drop chart. I was able to get first round hits on a 4L water jug at 300, 400 and 500 yards by using the reticle I havent tested it beyond that range but am very happy so far with its performance so far. I highly reccomend this scope/caliber combo.

I've got a 800Z on my .223 without any problems. You just need to go to the Zeiss website and use the calculator to figure out what magnificaton you have to use with what ammo.
