IIRC altering the gun by cutting the stock would make it prohib. Can I take my outlaw, cut the stock into a pistol grip and make it restricted...re-registering it of course.
You have 30 days to report the change. The old stock is jusy a piece of wood at that point, but cutting it and installing it back is likely a grey area, with precedent leaning to prohinSo you would have to replace the stock with an actual PG, re-register it restricted, then you could do what you want with the old stock?
Dum ass laws...
so it seems to me carving a PG is OK as long as you don't make it from an original stock.
I know our laws are ridiculous but this seems a bit extreme, what difference would it make if I made a PG from an old stock or from a hunk of hardwood growing in my backyard? Even if this law was inforced, no one would be able to tell what you carved your PG from![]()
It's stupid but they told me it has to be store bought from an actual manufacturer (like dlask) Making it yourself doesn't count, just like you can buy an 12.5 inch barrel but cannot cut down an existing barrel under 18 inches, not even a gunsmith is allowed to do that.
