It is using a max load times a factor x that should in effect give a max load of 4198, then your either adding a filler that should put you over pressure or your not adding a filler which could give you a squib load or even worse a detonation!

thanks for all the help. here is an up date on my M1876 carbine. I have brass on back order from Buffalo arms, factory papers from the Cody museum, and i found a fellow who can give me info on the carbine for the NWMP. Curently looking for someone who can give me an aprazale on it for posible sale and insurance purpose

I am gathering your rifle is original. You can search the internet. I found Joe Salters website had a few. First is one without a letter, It's listed price is $9750.00 USD. You can compare yours to it.

This formula came out of a reloading manual dacron pillow filler is a light fluffy filler similar to gun cotton and is used to hold the powder back over the flash hole I did not say pack in as much as you can and I would much prefer to use it over tissue paper . But any one doing smokeless for black should do research on ther own . Kynoc ringed a few chambers and damaged a few guns so I have read when they first started loading smokeless for black . So great care should be taken .

I use a 1/4 pc of toilet paper to hold the powder back. No pressure build up & it burns into white ash no residue.

Yes that's what I use to. Not fancy but works.
I wonder if scented paper would smell nice at the range

Naa, Just looks like it's snowing sometimes.

I tried dacron, but I could not get it measured in a uniform amt and burning a plastic in one of my rifles, well, NO.
