Does anyone know where I could acquire such an accessory ?.

Stores have been able to get me prices but no availability :(

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried to get my hands on one of those things as well. Vltor sells them only direct through Springfield armory. The 2 times I've talked to Springfield, I was told that they do not ship out the rails......you have to ship your rifle to them for a factory install (sucks balls). Since most of us up here run Norinco's, were screwed, since we can't ship them south. I explained this to the Springfield sales rep, and they still wouldn't ship.
Maybe someone has a different route to aquire these things, but I have been unable source them.

It really is too bad, I think there would be some interest for that mount up here. Yeah, I know, Canada is not that big of a market, but still, tough economic times and all, make your money where you can right ?

you can buy the springfield m1a that comes with that rail, then take the rail off and sell the m1a, and voila!

you got yourself a vltor rail :D

So I sort of have a solution but I am stumped...

This is what I have found...

The only problem is, it is a one piece system, so it is a pain in the ass if you ever want to take apart...

Next, it is attached by putting the two barrel clamps on the barrel, and screwing the rail into the clamps... Only problem is that the barrel is to thick of a diameter to fit the clamps.

The only way I can figure to make it work is to buy two of those scout mounts from Marstar.. mill them flat and get someone to tap the size of screws I need... but again, at 70 dollars a mount, I dont know if its worth it.

Ya.. I think that's what its meant for... Just an idea.. but I don't really see it working as having to take it apart would be a pain...

That is an airsoft rail system and is not compatable with the M14.
don't waste your money ....... i know a couple guys that tried going that route and were not pleased to say the least.
I tried using one of those G&G aramament KAC rail assemblies for the m14 and ended up chopping it up for another project...... having to readjust and tighten it after 50 rounds was enough for me to never go airsoft again

I did however order 2 more ...... JUST for the picatinny stripper clip guide mount...... worth it just for that part.
I have had this stripper clip picatinny copied and a cnc program created. Just waiting for my machinist to finish putting his hardening furnace together and we will be producing that part for the canadian market ;) using quality steels rather than aluminum
I sold a couple prototypes and so far the mount is compatable with the sage ebr stocks and the utg tri rail, allowing for a standard scope to be mounted, one ring at the stripper clip location and the other on the the forward rail, pretty slick set up ;)

Ya.. Kinda figured, I just picked it up off a guy to see if it would work but after talking it over with some people, figured it was a dead end... Ahh well.. dems the breaks...

The UTG rails are a pretty good product. Good metal, and fits the rifle tight (at least mine does)....add the back rail that 45ACPKing is building, and you'll have a damn sweet set-up. And for a decent price.

I am weeks away from signing on as a dealer, no pricing will be discussed untill such time, by p.m. or otherwise. Some goodies are coming that will be worth waiting for. I know i've been tossing the dealer carrot around since last year but I am finally ready to proceed. Some things are just better approached on a slow and steady pace. ;)
