NAVY SHOOTER;
Thank you for understanding, I have complete faith in all my employees.... However there was nothing to report.

On the other hand our employees are extremely security concious because of some of the work we do.... They will not discuss certain
matters on the phone unless you are known, they will not discuss certain products unless you are cleared for the information in question, they will not advise on legalities, they will not discuss "projects" you may require parts for........So don't blame them

Some of my employees do participate in various forums, however they do not post for Marstar.

All I can say at the moment is the CFC has re classified, after the fact, these firearms and we cannot sell them.... We are protesting and have meetings scheduled.

"So when John's not there everyone goes home or has Marstar turned into a one man operation. The only time he comes on here is to stomp down on someone's throat for calling him out yet he posts they're moments away and then disappears for weeks"

I apologize to you for not being available to sooth your anxiety attack.
Yes I was out of the country for over two weeks.... And so you don't get too concerned I'm leaving agin soon....

If I only came on to stomp on people I would really need another outlet for my energies, I thought that I did provide, at least sometimes, some usefull information....

No we have not turned into a one man operation, there are still 10 people here and growing all the time....

John, do you mean the VZ59's, VZ58's, or short VZ58's?

Just out of curiosity (since I know nothing about importing), when you bring a shipment in does the CFC approve the stuff prior to you getting them shipped over. Or do you go by what's on the books as legal/approved and they check once it's in country.

What gives them the right to change their minds half way through (rhetorical question since they seem to make and change the rules as they go)? Seems like we're expected to follow the letter of the law and they get to make it up to suit their motives.

Great, first I find out today that my yearly asset bonus at work didn't come through, then this, getting screwed by my company and now the CFC. I was to use that money to buy a new toy......and wanted one of those new VZ's so bad

yea can you clarify for us or are you also waiting for the info?

Ok, I'm going into tinfoil hyperdrive right now...first Canam's Type 97s get sent to the RCMP for "inspection" and now the VZs have been reclassified??? Is the government adopting some kind of California type law against pistol grips, banana mags, bayonet lugs, and semiauto actions??? Seriously, WTF? I'm majorly pissed...I finally have the money to start buying goodies and they get banned...I guess I will very politely write my CPC MP...

I just started a thread about it two minutes before you! It seems odd to me....

I have MANY MANY MANY very bad words that I want to use at the moment and well, I won't... All I will say is I am about to blow my stack over the REPREHENSIBLE way the RCMP & CFC are conducting themselves!!!

Johnone, my hat is off to you and your employee's & I certainly appreciate ALL your efforts to bring new & exciting products to the Canadian market.

Cheers
Jay

John,

Please keep up the good work. You have a rather vested interest in seeing these products come to market I'm sure, so good luck in the meetings.

Is it a re-classification to restricted or prohibited?

If it's that the UK-59 has gone to restricted status, that would not affect me, I'd still want to buy one. I had no intent to take it hunting anyhow. (Though the look on the CO's face when I crawl down from a tree-stand with one....makes me giggle just thinking about it!)

john , you need to clarify , when you said "these firearms " , do you mean the VZ59 only .

If I had to guess at what he means by reclassification, I would suggest the CFC is claiming they have re-evaluated the gun and decided it's a prohib.

They may not be happy with the proof the OEM has provided that the receivers were never real machineguns.

I just hope this isn't as the result of some CGN d!psh!t disturber calling in a complaint about it... :(

#### suckers !!! I can't believe this is happening ... It better be not some CGN #### disturber involved in this ..I think the time has come to tighten access to CGN and get some member verification.

This happens the day after I sell my VZ-58 expecting to get a new one from Marstar. :bangHead:

While he hasn't said it clearly the only logical conclusion to draw from John's statement is that the new VZ-58's have been classified as prohibited.

wow what a disapointment I had a stack of $$$ for those new models saved up. But lets face it the ones relly getting left out to dry is Marstar, I feel for you John as a business owner my self there is nothing worst than not being able to move a product that you just invested alot of money on.
