Finally jumping into reloading, some questions

yup,get rid if the motor oil.you'll need to retumble after using that stuff 'cause that oil in any trace will kill your primer or powder which could lead to some unsafe shootin'.get the (i think it's this brand) hornady stamp pad and liquid lube in the small bottle plus a tube of lee lube "in a tube".a small amount on stamp pad of liquid lube and roll about 5 cases back and forth.then a qtip with lee lube in a tube to the inside and outside of neck(very little or you could get deformed/dented necks).
did you get the "classic turret press"?it's built like a brick $hithouse.i resize very easily with this setup.

I got the normal turret press, it's an older version of the classic turret. It works well since I don't ever plan on shooting magnum rounds.

All the cases were already done by the time I had read the no-motor-oil comments, but I'm fairly certain I got all the oil out in the bath stage. Pretty sure I got most of it out though (washed thoroughly in dishwashing soap and a bit of degreasser in hot water, then rinsed with tap water several times to ensure all the cleaning agents were out. Then put into distilled water, agitated slightly and looked for any oil film on the surface, which there was next to none of.).

I did however go out and buy some Imperial sizing wax for the next go around. $6 for this show polish tin (I've heard really good things about this stuff).

By the way, does anyone know where else I can buy crushed walnut media in Calgary and the going rate for the stuff?

So I sprung for the Lyman 1200 tumbler. Did a quick test run in the garage... Couldn't even hear the bugger on the other side of. Decision settled, tumbler stays, all the cases are now tumbling to get the last of the dirt and whatever small bits of oil remain.

I'm going to order a Lyman tumbler and will be talking to the local body shops that sand blast to buy some media from them. I'm sure they go through a lot so it must be pretty cheap in bulk.

Had some extra cases that I figured I'd try the sizing wax with...

..... ho...ly....####...... o_O even the banged up dented cases side in and out like nobody's business.

+1 for imperial sizing wax and another reminder for me to actually listen to you guys. :D
