Franchi SPAS-12

Retarded considering it's no more than a 12ga., same as any other duck gun.

Yeah. The only thing special about it is its unconventional appearance (as compared to a Mossberg M500, Remington 870, or a Benelli M4) and the fact that it has a mechanism that allows you to switch between pump and semi-auto modes. Other than that, it is just another 12 gauge scattergun.

wow, I had no idea they were prohibited here. I travel to US quite often and they're in the gun shops everywhere as class 1(non restricted).

I read they're also quite expensive too, both since the ATF outlawed their importation and since Franchi discontinued manufacture of the SPAS 12 in exchange for its, uglier, but more utilitarian (from a combat point of view) brother, SPAS 15.

Your right about the price, very expensive. I never understood why the were selling for more than the other tac shotguns. I know Franchi makes very good stuff, but to me, there are better choices out there for the $ these cost.
