Tigrr's range got a workout Sunday.
First 6 hits at 1422 yards, by 2 - 308 cal's

No pics of the 1000 yard targets, but they probably had 50 hits.
The 1100 yard target getting a pelting.

The first of many hits on the 1200 yard target.

The evidence of a day out to 1422 yards. 4 new members to the 1422 club!!

It was a beautiful day with 5-10 km winds. The 308's opened the scoring on the 1422 yard target, but the 338 and the 300 left there mark as well.
Reaching out and touching something out to 1422 yards is ticklish!

My Savage F T/R 308 eats Berger 155gr HPBT in front of 45.7 grains of Varget.
The other 308 I believe was shooting 165gr bullets.
The 300 winmag was shooting 210 Bullets.
The 338 was shooting 300gr bullets.

I hope my Savage 308 will reach a mile, only one way to find out.
I am switching to Lapua 155gr scenars bullets for a while with Varget powder. I'll see how that works out.
If the 308 doesn't reach a mile I'll switch to the new 6.5-284 and test it out!

This thread makes me want to get those 6.5-08 builds on the go even more so we can take a trip out to your place and get them out to a mile.

The 338 poked some holes in the lighter steel 1/8 and 3/16 plate, but the 1/4 inch plate held up to everything we sent at it. Mind you there are some pretty big dents.
The temp was -10 early on but went up to -2 in the afternoon.

Another 1100 yard target

Another 1200 yard target. The 308's went right through this 45 gallon drum lids at 1200 yards, and the hits are very hard to see.
