I saw the same unit at home hardware builder mark and some huge tool store in Kelowna....its a made in china stainless bandsaw designed for meatcutting,,,it even had a little powered meat grinder on the side for less than $400....I was all set to buy it till I read "DO NOT CUT THROUGH BONE" in the instructions....WTF.....a meatsaw that won't cut bone???

Has anyone bought one of these yet? tried cutting bone with it??

We had a meat cutting band saw and got rid of it. First, it's a PITA to clean and 2nd, cutting through bone on wild game is not recommended, for health reasons.

I have a good commercial meat saw ready to use in my dad's sausage kitchen, but we do not use it for game meat. In my opinion, one of the main reasons game meat has a bad reputation with some people is "off flavours" due to tiny bits of saw-cut bone adhering to steaks and roasts, the bone mixed with fat goes rancid very quickly in the freezer.
We use knives to process all our game meat, debone all steaks and roasts and remove all fat - the results are much better than using a commercial saw. Just my experience.

x2 bandsaw are a comercial butchers tool to cut meat as fast as possible dis regarding any taste of the final product.

If a band saw is no good this should do the trick for ya

They aren't very good saws. They do work but that's about it. They will cut through bone without any problems. Ours is impossible to keep the blade running straight, doesn't seem to matter how much playing with it you do. The steaks look like they've been hacked by a blind woodsman with a dull chainsaw.

I have a proper grinder so we've never tried the attachment on the unit.

It was cheap, so we bought it.

Another case of you get what you paid for.

All bandsaws are a PITA to clean up after you are done with them. Around here you have to clean it twice. It doesn't get used enough so it needs to be cleaned before and after it is used.
