Hi there just a question regarding a air pistol I inhereited

It is a Webley mark 1 from the research I have done it was made between 1924 and 32 , it is in excellent condition with original box ,manual , pellet box really quite interesting little piece. Just wondering if anyone has info on value or a good sight that would give an accurate manufacturing date.
Thanks for your help
Daryl

One of the gun dealers in Ontario had one a few months ago and I'm guessing in rougher condition than yours, also probably without the extras.
I think the asking price was about $150....this might not help much.
I'm still looking for a good one...someday...

They were so well made that there is still a lot of them about.I have a 25 year old Tempest that still shoots like new. They are almost impossible to wear out.I would say your Mark 1 would fetch 150-175 in real good shape.I would hang on to it, as the value is only going up since they went out of business.

There were six variants of the pre-war straight grip Mark I, and one pre-war variant of the new model slant grip Mark I. The post-war Mark I utilized the same slant grip frame as the pre-war model, but added a few refinements. This is a post that I made on another airgun site - have a look here to see if your gun looks like any of the pics in the thread:

I can give you a range of years of manufacture if you can tell me which variant you have.
