Can you guess the bullet manufacturer?

I got these blemished bullets for Chrismas. Unfortunately they had no manufacturer. .

Here's what I know:
68 grain, HPBT, .224 cal. 0.914" long

I thought it kind of looked like the hornady 68 grainers, but they don't have the corrugated ring in the center, and they are a good 0.07" longer

It is an older Hornady 68gr HPBT they used to have the canilure back in say 2003....

Out of idle curiosity, WTH's a "manuafurer"? Sounds like the pit boss on a German slave crew...or maybe an Englishman who puts hair on moose droppings for tourists?
