Nationals road trip?

Anyone else thinking of heading to Halifax for the Nationals?


Road trip? Car pool? Convoy?


Last year my entire family made the trek to Alberta for the 2008 Nationals. We left on the Friday night and as luck would have it met up with Mr Clean and BMW on the transcanada just outside of Wawa. We lost them again shortly thereafter but met up again........by pure coincidence in Thunderbay as we picked the same motel to stay in. As a result we convyed together from Thunderbay to Medicine hat and then on to Swift Current where we headed off to see drumheller and the rockies prior to the match.

I was curious as to the plans for other folks in headed out to Halifax.
I will have room for at least one other passenger as it will only be my son and I headed out this year.

Anyway..........I thought it might be a good plan to organize something and make the trip more enjoyable for all not to mention safer should any breakdowns occur along the way.

I have driven it many many times. From T.O. it is about 18 hours of driving at 110 kph.

I figure it will be a week off work plus maybe one day. The Monday after is a holiday monday.

I don't think I have enough time off left for that. Have to check on Monday. Too bad; I like driving trips.

Went to the NB provincials last fall.
Left Friday morning at 5 am.
Came back Monday.Only 2 days off work.

Figure I'll take a few more off for Nats as I have a cousin there and can stay for free.
