Reloading VLD and having a slight problem ?

I f you drill a hole into the apex of the seater cone, the push on the bullet will be farther down on the bullet. the nose section is hollow. By moving the push down to the part where there is lead supporting the seter, less of a mark will be left.

I had to modify some seaters to take the Amax bullets.

You might try some Hornady #2279, 75gr HPBT. They seat to mag length just fine, have a good BC and are relatively insensitive to jump, due, I suppose, to the secant ogive.
