Here is one of recent Canadian import rifles, that has had some work done to it, so it resembles what we would consider a more tactical appearance.

TROY FF Rail System, TROY Front & Rear sights, TROY Gas Block, TROY Modular Combat Grip, TROY Professional Grade Sling Adaptor, TROY Medieval Muzzle Brake.

Nice rig. The only thing I dislike about Troy rails is their weight.

Why are they too light for ya? No trying to be cheeky - just curious. You do know they don't use a proprietary barrel nut right? Larue, KAC and PRI all use one that adds weight. Sorry I didn't have the PRI weight as it wasn't listed on their site.

Larue - 11.8 OZ - sneeky though - they are one of the few that list their weight as .742 LBS - guess they are trying to hide the OZ weight?
KAC FFRAS Carbine - 14.2 OZ
Troy MRF - 4.0 OZ

If you want heavier for recoil control I get it. If you want lighter and free float, Troy is one of the lightest.

Did you include the standard barrel nut with the Troy weight, cus that seems very low?? Larue, KAC include the nut with the weights, since the standard nut is removed with them then it's only fair to include the std nut weight with Troy.

No I did not and yes you are correct. I only posted the weight from the manufacturer's website. That said, I have installed numerous KAC, Larue and PRI rails and I can say without a doubt that the barrel nut adds noticiable weight. I have not seen one with the aluminum version of the nut though. Regardless, their nuts:D are a still noticably heavier than the standard barrel nut.
