Ethics are like your private parts. We all have them. But you shouldn't show them off to everyone. It's rude and it opens yourself to ridicule.

I can't believe that in this day and age we are talking about hunting ethnics.
Hunting Bull Moose in Northern Manitoba. Guides were good callers. Called in 1 smaller bull to 35 yards. The commentator says perfect broadside when the camera CLEARLY shows a quartering towards shot(big NO-NO) , and Yankee hunter proceeded to shoot right under his belly. Clean Miss. The Moose trots back in the bush. He is quartering away this time at least but he is at 82 yards. Hunter takes a hail mary shot and sticks Moose somewhere.
In some cases the camera guy is not sitting with the hunter but of to one side, it may have been a broadside shot to him. BUT No on second shot.
And to point out I didn't see the show.
How is that for ethics?
Last night watching HCAB.(Hunting Canada and Beyond). These clowns were actually advocating hunting over bait. Then videoing it....pretty amateur if you ask me for a hunting show? They bagged a VERY nice white-tail. Not sure what Zone they were in but it was NOV.13th and they were both in full camo. IF they were in a rifle zone as most archery closes on Oct.31. They were hunting illegally as they had NO colors on.

Is hunting deer over bait (an apple pile) really that much diff than hunting over a natural food plot like a corn field or soya crop![]()

As long as it is legal I say go for it.....BUT absolutely do NOT film it...then make it part of some sort of "pat yourself on the back hunting show" demonstrating your hunting skill?
I forgot the ABSOLUTE worst hunting show I ever seen...
I think once again it was PSE Bowhunter Adventures.(might be mistaken about that)
They were on a Elk hunt....one minute there on a road spotting ELK...next they were set up in a area where the GUIDE figured they would intercept this herd.
SO they are set up on these Elk and here they come....just like the guide predicted....WOW Elk hunting looks pretty easy?
Then in the background you can see a LARGE tire off a hauling truck that is being used to water or feed the Elk...at this point I know it is on a high-fenced hunt ranch in the states.
They proceed to shoot the biggest Elk.
After the shot the other Elk just hang around and don't run away.
Afterwards the hunter is patting himself on the back...after all this is the largest Bull he has ever shot.
No mention of hunt farm or Ranch...pathetic!!!

If it gets his rocks off and he is not hurting anyone, who are we to JUDGE....
Dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.............
a quartering towards shot(big NO-NO)
and why is that?

I dunno...
The size and density of a Moose's Scapula perhaps?
The scapula is going to conceal most of the vitals...it is NOT a high percentage shot.
Not saying it cannot be done just saying it is NOT the best shot for an archer.
No problem for rifle hunters but for archery I will pass.
Quartering away is better and broadside is ideal.

He totally misrepresented the hunt...If the animals were born and raised and fed in a pen they are little different from domesticated cattle.
The ELK were feeding at a trough for God's sake....and he is passing off his show as a guided wild Elk hunt?
More like Rancher and him sat down had lunch....drove out to the field/pen....he picked out his Elk.....they bugled a few times and then shot the ELK?
I don't have a problem with the HUNT....just passing it off as a Wild Hunt on Public lands...![]()
