What options is there in a 17 hmr semi-auto?

What options is there in a 17 hmr semi-auto?

Seems to me I heard of a guy rebarreling his Ruger 10/22 in 17hm2, not sure if this can be done with the 17 hmr but maybe worth looking into.

Remington had the 597 but discontinued it. Thompson only makes a semi in 17mach2. Ruger stopped making the 10/17 a long time ago.

I have. the Magnum Research 17hmr semi auto it's very accurrate and a blast to shoot,holds nine 17hmr rounds.It looks like a well built rifle.the reciever is machined from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum.

they are in the 800 dallor range. I got mine from bartons in Grande Prairie.Corlane sports is a distributer and can get you one there.phone numder is 250-782-2111.I would have bought mine there but they were out of stock.

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc., announced the rifle on January 16, 2004

The Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. 2006 Annual Report indicates that the 10/17 is no longer being produced.

Not very many around I would say. And not likely very good.
