Many of us have purchased replacement rear sights for our Norinco M-14s' from Andy in Italy for US$50 plus $7 for delivery.

Here is how to remove the original one and here is how to install the new one.

Is there a website where I can purchase this sight? Also, where are you guys getting the Garand rear sights from?

Hmm, looks like a good deal. What does he mean by mismatched? Will it still bolt right up no problem?

My rear sight went on with no fuss whatsoever. I haven't heard of any problems.

Mismatched probably means that any given sight may have been made up of parts from other sights.

Very smooth in operation and a large improvement over the original.

Mine were absolutely perfect. Nice crisp white lettering. Perfect finish. The only problem I am having is adjusting the elevation knob. Loosening the screw doesn't seem to allow my knob to rotate without changing the sight elevation. I need to pull it back apart and get some lube into the teeth of the adjustment. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Hey guys... I need some help installing my M1 Garand rear sight.

No matter what I do, I simply cannot get the windage to work. It seems to be really really tight. The elevation works perfectly.

Is there a trick to it?

EDIT: The problem was the M1 Garand sight block -- stripped threads. Put factory sight block back on, but used M1 aperature and knobs and everything works perfectly!
