Just bought a HK USP Tactical in 45acp and a Glock 20 adjustible sight model in 10mm. I was worried the grips would be too big but I tested a couple out on the weekend and I think I will be able to manage them even though I have small hands. Anyone with experience with these pistols?

I love my G20 I picked up last year. I would consider myself to have smallish hands and have no trouble handling it. Everyone I take to the range shoots it and loves it. They all say, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

Can't wait to add to the 10mm collection with a S/W 1006 when I have the money.

Your just doing your part to stimulate the economy. :p

The USP is big. Just flippin' the safety with small hands might be a stretch. I didn't have a problem with it, I just felt the Glock was simpler and overall, I liked the fit in my hand a lot better. I keep reading all of these great things about the USP, everywhere, but personally, I felt the Glock is a better overall choice; now that you have both, who cares! (I only got about 100 rounds through the USP). I would add to this post that I found that the sight picture had a lot of slop or air in the sight picture but I guess you would expect that from a combat pistol. Since, I am a non-combatant, I'd try and replace those with a more accurate sight picture. The Glock right out of the box has a better set of fixed sights and frankly, for a brick, at least to me, has a more natural feel than a USP.

I have a USP compact tactical in .45ACP and it's my favorite handgun. Absolutely flawless firearm, IMNSHO.

I'm looking at a Glock by the end of summer, if for no other reason than to be able to shoot cheap 9mm, but I do love my USP and I'm confident you will too - smaller hands or not.

I've got a G20, and love it. I've got pretty big hands, though - some of my friends with smaller hands have fouind it to be a bit bulky. It's been 100% reliable so far, though I've only put maybe a thousand rounds through it...

Even with hot 10mm reloads, it's tame, as the polymer frame seems to soak up some of the recoil :) Good to see another 10MM owner!!

Ya guys I will try and get a good range report after I get the pistols but getting the range up here will be a bit. Its friggin -20 out right now and still about 5 feet of snow. It will have to wait till late april at the earliest. As for buying the 10mm I wanted a pistol that took some getting used to recoil wise. I haven't shot anything more powerful than hot 40 short and weak and 45 acp. Wanted to try something with more snap so later I could maybe move up and get a good revolver in 357 or 44 mag.

My buddy picked up a USP tactical and he LOVES it!!!

He let's me shoot it, and I must say I really liked and the ergonomics. The match trigger rocks...

Let's say i am in the market for one if it comes up. But the 45 is expensive. Reloading is a good idea.

Good choice on the glock as well. Enjoy!!!

Quick question though. Do the USP tacticals take different mags than the standard USP 45's?
