Exotic 9mm ammo - pics updated

There are some original Black Talons, and Winchester Ranger SXT (gold case, black bullet) for sale on gun broker auction site out of the US.
They are going for a wide range of amounts. There is a guy on there with 200 rounds and amount for his auction is $225.00 at the moment.
Don't know if you can really get an accurate value for them off an auction site. I've been looking for a box of the 9mm Black Talons (or the Rangers with the black bullets) to add to my collection, but they don't do international shipping. A couple I saw were the original Black Talon box of 20 rounds with an opening bid of $20.00 and they didn't sell. Pissed me off.

They are tough to get as they are lesser known than the nice original Black Talon boxes with the little claws....
A lot of people had those 2nd production run Ranger boxes but just shot them...They have & will retain certain ``collector interest / value`` for the knowlegeable collector of those...And as with any deal value is what the buyer puts on the table at this specific moment....
I woundnt be shy to pay $50.00 for a box of these in exc condition....Mk

Hydrashocks are like fishing lures. More designed to catch the fisherman than the fish.
I did an extensive battery of penetration and expansion tests on a wide variety of 9mm bullets a few years ago and posted all the results on CGN. I tried at least 16 different types of 9mm, some 357 Mag and 45 ACP as well.
I had a bunch of exotic rounds like 70gr frangibles, THV, IVI, IMI etc and we tried them against a level 2A kevlar vest as well as a leather jacket.
I have an absolutely perfect expanded Black Talon in my collection.
The best most consistent bullet I tried was the 147gr Golden Sabre. It opened up the same every time and was unaffected by passing through the leather jacket, unlike a lot of the other "exotics".
Disclaimer: The THV were donated anonymously and subsequently expended in testing so I don't have any live ones left. And yes they penetrated the vest.

I sold a box of 10mm Black Talon's (200 gr) on here last year for $75.00 shipped (and it sold fast!). I would expect the 10mm's to be worth a bit more than the 9mm's but you still should get a good buck for them.
