Norinco 1911 Police Model and NP58 now IN STOCK.

I'm in the exact same boat as CanuckShooter (I ordered a two-tone one day before him actually :p). I've been doing my best to be patient and keep from bugging them. My only post regarding this has been to thank them for getting my order processed. However, reading the $99 thread (I hear ya CS it's starting to get to me too) it's looking like the squeaky wheels get served.

So - my order processed Feb 16th. Checked with CFC - LTATT is in place, no transfer initiated. I have e-mailed. I have left a phone message.

Could you please give me an update Chris or Mark?

Order id: #3938671
Order date: Jan 30, 2009 09:34:31 PM

Thank you

Canam,

If you don't mind, would you be able to forward mine to Mark as well? Order #3938672, ordered Jan. 31. I tried emailing him this week, but got no response. That way he won't be disrupted or caught off guard when I call.

CanAm...
Do you sell part's for the norinco 1911 A1? I was wanting to buy the slide, guide rod & spring plug. Please PM if you do sell any part's.
Thanx

I emailed last week, then called yesterday but it went straight to the answering service so I left a message, and then I called again today but again went straight to the answering service.... no luck so far.

I still think that it is fortunate that there are companies like CanAm that have such good items for sale at reasonable prices. Hey, I'd be willing to wait as long as it took. In the U.S. they would just be happy to get a Norinco firearm at the prices we do. They wouldn't care how long it took.

Hey as long as they keep sending along the free bottles of Balistoil to compensate for the long waits it's all good...:D

No I did not get a freebie for my long wait....but I did get my order finally after calling several times to find out that it too had been waiting a month after payment to be sent to the CFC.

Once it was finally sent to the CFC for transfer it only took a week.

Why it took a month to send it to the CFC is a bit of a mystery but I think there have been a few orders falling into the wrong pile or something....

Some free Balistoil ( too bad it's sold out)would be a nice gesture for the long wait and specially for the people who fell through the cracks!;)

Well I bought some Pachmayr wrap around grips, a holster, and a mag holder today...

It sure would be cool if I had a pistol to go with 'em.

Yep that's exactly what they're for (looks sweet!). Go ahead - rub it in

I called CanAm first thing this morning and got through! The guy asked for my name - couldn't find my order. Offered him my order number - he said that wouldn't help (wtf!?). He then asked for my RPAL number and said that he could find it that way, but that he'd call me back when he found it.

I haven't heard anything since. Nor have I heard back since Chris said he'd check with Mark (on this thread). Nor did I get a call back from the voice mail I left prior to that.

CanAm - it's now been 7 weeks since I ordered an item you say is in-stock. 4 1/2 weeks since you got my money. I've been very patient, polite, and understanding. However, if I treated my customers the way you do I would be out of business (and I would deserve it). Your service, quite frankly, sucks.

All I really want is a reasonable ETA for my gun, and you owe me that much. Anything above and beyond that and I might even go back to referring others to you.

At this point I wouldn't even consider it.

None of that foul mood was pointed at you, sorry, lol. Yep they're identical to the ones I bought at Corlane in Dawson Creek. Maybe if I go back there they'll let me put 'em on one of their 1911's and make bangbang noises...

I called this morning as well. Finally got through. The guy was nice enough, said the same thing regarding name vs order number as 7m7 stated above, said my order must have already shipped, then asked me to call the CFC to check for a transfer and then to call back and let him know. Had already called the CFC about 5 times in the last 2 weeks to check, but figured what's one more call. No luck. Transfer hadn't even been started after 7 weeks. Called him back to tell him, he apologized, said he couldn't find my order, only on the computer.

you guys are making ne nervous! i ordered my NP 58 2 days ago. i hope i don't have the same problems you guys have been having. sorry about your luck. hope you hear some better news in the days to come....

Hell,....I was going to buy one of these guns from them, but after reading this & other negative posts I suppose I will wait for Marstar to get some!
To wait 2 months for anything in stock is rediculous.
What a way to run a buisness!
