AR15 .223 Ammo Question

I have just ordered my first AR15 ( Stag Arms 2L ) and I was wondering what everyone else is using for ammunition in thier AR's ( brand, type, grains )? and where is the best place to buy ammunition? Ideally want to purchase
500 - 1000 rnds at once. I will definitely be doing some serious bonding time with my new AR when it arrives.

Get whatever is cheap. That will usually be 55gr. FMJ. Winchester white box, and Federal's American Eagle. Maybe some PMC.
 
Sean, Im getting old and someone will help me out ( early dementia ;) ) there is a guy in Maple Ridge / Haney by the name of John he has PMC 55 gr 223 by the case for 500.00
 
Nope Parsons is @ $550. The cheapest delivered is Marlin @ Frontier with his PMC. It's actually cheaper with shipping & taxes then if you bought from anyone else (eg.Canada Ammo, John Parsons or any other local dealer). But I wish Marlin would get more of the S&B cause for some reason my "Black Baby Killer" loves it. I think cause it's steel core?

I just picked up 2K 55 gr PMC last week from John for $500 per K

Cheap B@$t@rd! I knew he didn't like me. I asked him for 2k and he quoted me $550. Even though I also asked for 1k of 38 special 2. Ah well his loss, cause just like lever arms, he will never see another $$$ from me.
