Will canpar ship ammo?

So the question stands, will canpar ship ammo? I'm trying to make a trade with a fellow nutter, and he went to canpar to see if they would ship ammo. They said they would. He came back a week later to ship it, and they said they wouldn't. Maybe the guy at the counter didn't know what he was talking about? If he was right, who will ship ammo?

they said the same thing to me LOL but the guy still happily dollied the 5 cases i ordered off the truck and up my stairs ;)
I slid him a 20.00 for the effort
 
They said there is an extra charge for wood crates as they can damage other parcels and they have to carry them thru the processing centres by hand, who knows.

Still meeting with resistance from the customer service rep on the phone at CANPAR. Will try again today and see what happens.

If anyone can provide some advice that would be excellent.

Ammo shipping is now no problem. Had to have rep contact customer service. Explained what type of goods it was and it was a done deal.

Good for you - glad it worked out!

I did the same last year from ON to AB. I told the shipper exactly what it was. When he filled out the description section - even though their policy is OK with shipping ammo - he laughed and wrote down "lead and brass parts" !!!

It arrived without incident - thanks CanPar ! ! !
 
well.... it seems CANPAR is not our friend...... you must have a valid business liscence for the shipping of ammo..... as i was just told at the counter dealing with the canpar rep.

i contacted DHL ...... they will help me as i have to ship 1000 rnds of ammo as a result of a presonal sale between liscenced individuals.

DHL said to go to the transport canada site and download the forms for dangerous goods info pertaining to the goods i am shipping.
Once provided..... they will be picking up at my door and delivering to ontario

not sure about purolator but i hate them anyways
 
i have worked for Canpar for 23 years.....YES YOU CAN SHIP AMMO.........
You Cant Ship Guns..........

ammo noproblem.You can also ship smoke less powder.
