We took advantage of the time, expected to be no maore than a few days, before clearance to bill the orders. So all we needed to do was register, transfer and ship.

I was sincerely hoping to speed things up to save you waiting time.

I am hopping on another 20 hour flight in a few minutes, so that will be me out until tomorrow eve.

Letters to MP's PM's and RCMP offices

I have sent letters to the PM's office as well as our local MP who just happens to be Conservative. I sent a seperate letter to the RCMP/CFC for specific information about the stall in the Norinco Type 97A process. I pointed out the legality of the T97A in detail. I asked them for their details as to the rifle being in limbo and said I expected a reply. I was as diplomatic as possible. After reading so many posts on the Type 97A, I cannot see any reason for a re-examination of the rifle at all. I pointed out that many people have paid for the rifles including myself and that the rifles are legally ours and to let Canada Ammo release the rifles to their customers.
 
Received my Dominon Arms Backpacker today from CanadaAmmo, order placed Feb 13, cleaned, assembled and I'm looking forward to firing her, fit & finish are fine, thankyou CanAmmo.
 
I ordered a new M213 Norinco 9mm and 2 mags delivered to my door by Canada Post in 3 weeks.Excellent service.Goes to show you that some people in the forums talk about 6-8 weeks for delivery are wind bags.Samson Thank to Canada Ammo.Now I wish they would get some 40. cal in 500 Winchester lots

I haven't been badmouthing CanAm but I did order my M213 and 1911 on January 16th and received them almost 2 months later(last Monday). So don't be calling names.

CanAm is a standup guy and I don't blame some of you for not knowing that because you have probably never met him. Some good points have been made here already, notably:

1. the T97 rifles are being held up through no fault of his.

2. there was no reasonable expectation that there would be any issue with their import.

3. the prepayment for the rifle included the benefit of a free T97 mount.

4. ask for a refund if you are unhappy, I think its been offered.

Some other points:

1. the cost of the rifles increased for CanAm during the wait due to the change in value of the Cdn $. No price increase was made as a result. CanAm has always sacrificed profitability in order to make things available for us. Not totally of course, but he has leaned in the direction of keeping things affordable.

2. some of you sound like you would like it both ways. You wish to be dissatisfied and get your money back and then you'd like to get back in line and buy later on; that strikes me as hypocritical. If you are unhappy ask for a refund by all means, but it seems odd to want to buy from folks you 'so disliked'. :confused:

3. asking privately for a refund will get your money back. Complaining on a public thread will get you attention. Just what was it you were hoping to get? ;)

If its your guns you want, you've been told you must wait and why ... if you can't wait the other option is a refund. You won't speed things up by whining.

I don't think it could be said any better than this. I have to give Can-Am huge credit for putting up with the all whining and public bashing that has carried on here the last while. Please ignore the whiners Can-Am and keep bringing the great value of firearms in for those of us that do appreciate the effort.

What the hell kind of comment is that ? You think your experience speaks for everyone else ? My order was placed in January and still haven't received my product (hell, I haven't even gotten replies to the emails I have sent in the last few days wondering what is up).

Same experience so far for me. ButI did eventualy receive the pistol. only took 10 weeks!
 
I think CanAm will need this more then me. I am afraid his might be getting worn out. :D

Stay on topic - if you have made the point about the refund situation - great. There is no point of regurgitating it. This is CanAm's forum and their sandbox - this is their house so treat it the way it is. If CanAm requests that certain people be excluded from this forum, we will execute it as this is their house.
 
I ordered two Norc 1911A1 Police models, and within 48 hours (give or take ten minutes) they were on my doorstep in a Chunkyfruit Bar box.

Thanks Canada Ammo for your prompt service and politeness on the phone when I called to alter my order at the last minute.
