in france you can but a semi with supressor and 2 shot mag and a hunting permit in about an hour

not much ya can hunt with a .22, especially when you can only throw 2 shots at it.

Why would you be limited to 2 rounds?

Isn't the limitation only for semi centerfire? Can't you hunt with as many rounds as you want in a 10/22?

(PS: not a hunter here, just guessing from what I have read/heard)

No semiautomatic rifles in Australia. They don't even allow Pump-action, IIRC.
