Anymore M14's?

As far as we have been told there are no more Norinco m305 coming from the supplier

I've read this before, but the question is WHY NOT? They're not banned from importation into Canada, and they seemingly can sell all that they send here. Norinco, or China, must be able to profit from the sale of these firearms.

Guys, guys, guys... As johnone (Marstar's owner) has said, there will be NO MORE Marstar shipments of M14 rifles from China. The spectacular deal we saw on M14 rifles in the last couple of years, was because the USA would not allow the importation of the rifles, & it was the US market that the Chinese were making them for. Right up until the USA would not let them be imported any more... So, johnone bought all the remaining parts & had the guns assembled & shipped to Canada.

Canada is a small market! If you want an M14... And not knowing "if" we will ever see more "affordable" M14's from China, I say "BUY ONE ASAP"!!! Otherwise your only option may be a $2000 (or more!) SPRINGFIELD...

Cheers
Jay

No, Never, won't etc are all absolutes that one should stay away from.

Now will any more rifles be manufactured from pre-existing stock of parts? no.

You might see more M14's in the future. But there is one absolute, you WON'T be seeing them for $399 Canadian.

there are about 100 for sale in the EE right now.

Clearly mine is the best choice but there are lots to choose from.

Yeah but why pay 500?Used..

So, since there aren't any more new ones, and none on the horizon, what do you want to pay? $2k for a Springfield?

I would guess that the machining/tooling was gone many years ago. So to get any more, the tooling would have to be set up again. There won't be any more out of china for a very long time, until someone puts in an order for a substantial number, likely on the order of 10k or more. The Canadian market can't absorb that many, and other international markets are limited. Do you have $3 to $5 million to pay them to set up production, when you don't even have a guaranteed market?

Better buy that good condition used one while you still can.

Remember when an SKS-D was $175 or $200? People at that time said they would wait for the "next" shipment. Well they are still waiting......
