I'm watching Top Sniper on A&E

I was at this event.....the camera crews were everywhere. We gave away 2 rifles to the second place open team. 75th Rangers....

As to the stock I believe it to be one of Ian's you would have to speak with Ian to confirm. If memory serves the AMU team was using Ian's stock at the 2006 comp in Connaught.

McMillian 50 cal was represented and i believe the Marines stock is also a McMillian product

I watched it last night on Military Channel. It was pretty addictive, all 3 hours.
What I really found pretty cool was that they allowed a civillian SWAT team sharpshooters into the event. The members from the Pitsburg SWAT team even won an event, the helo shoot! They ended up 19th out of 21 but you just know that this was an experience that they will never forget.

I really enjoy these types of comps and SWAT challenge events. Looking forward to next years.
 
I watched about an hour of it but felt the program lacked substance. It was superficial coverage of an event. I suppose it was better than no coverage at all. Regards, Bill
 
Military Channel. The U.S. Propaganda Re-run Channel. They've mostly been running the same programs over and over and over since 2003.
 
Is was called top sniper II it was coverage from 2008, but the military channel has played Hilters bodyguard over and over again... I think I am pretty much a expert on Hitler buy now... Weaponmasters is a pretty cool show they recreate modern weapons of classic ones like the automatic crossbow and other cool historical things... I cant stand Futureweapons why does that guy always have to talk with like a wisper voice its just plain weird.
 
There's also a good show on...forget the name of it though where its two guys, one's kinda fat, and they compare modern guns to historical guns and talk about the evolution and what not. Its pretty interesting, helps me with the 'name this gun' game that sometimes get played on this site.
 
A true sniper rifle should be silenced ;-) you get more kills that way, start at the back and work forward.....
 
im sorry but that competition has been a joke for the past couple years.....overall winner usa!!!! maybe because all the foreign countries have one team present the us has over 40 teams and they never show actuall points.... the best was the first year.... usmc team ex:(John.f.Jones and Frank.G.Yates) Canadian Forces ex" (SOLDIER X and SOLDIER Y) all wearing black balaclavas and voice changers.. we took that competition like it was our job won everything and actually taught the americans things lol
 
That's one thing I've noticed. Operational Canadian snipers always have their identities protected, while it appears that the Americans don't give a damn about that. Never been able to figure that out. Also, while we're on the subject, has anyone here seen the Truth, Duty, Valour show? I absolutely love that show!

I think it might be a numbers thing. The US has thousands of Snipers, we don't have that many.

Besides with our immigration/refugee system it's probably easier for the taliban to just come to Canada, look the guy up in the phone book and jump him in his back yard rather than try to kill him on the battlefield in A-stan.... :rolleyes:
