I am looking to purchase several 10+ round mags for 10\22. What arethe best models out there? I was stoked to buy a Promag 50round drum until I learned the vast majority of owners think the mag is garbage. So in your opinion whatis best that is likely to be found this side of the border?

BC Steel Lips 25 rounders. The 'hot lips' are cr@p, but I very rarely get a misfeed with the steel ones.

The US was going to be A-holes about sending the 25rd steel lips to Canada but it went through ok.................Harold

Tactical Innovations Inc 25 round adjustable mags
x3

I had a BC steel lip one that worked good, but I couldn't see it lasting as long as the tactical inc mags i replaced it with.
When grabbing the 10/22 for skunks or something, I only use the stock 10rd magazines though. 110% reliable.

2 -tactical innovations 25 round mags -polymer bodies - 97%
3 butler creek steel lips - 94%
4. butler creek hot lips - 90%
subjective ratings based on my experience with all types- ie failures to feed, work fine with some ammo and not others, need to break in or not, etc,

Wolverine stocks the Tac Inovation mags from time to time. This topic has been done to death, Tac mags are the best.

Agree with the BC Steel Lips assessment...I've used the Hot Lips on my 10/22 with different brands of ammo and there is always the occasional jam. The Steel Lips have not jammed once...unfortunately, I was told by my local gun shop that as of the middle of last year or so, Canadian customs have not allowed any more new shipments of BC 10/22 mags across the border for some reason...what exists on shelves will continue to sell, but no more new mags are coming in...not sure if this is true or not, but if you do find the Steel Lips mags, it would be a good pick-up, for sure. BTW, if anyone does know for certain any store in the Toronto area that still has existing Steel Lips stock, please PM me. Thanks!

I have had 4 BC "hot lips" of over 10 years. Never a problem.

I have 3 Hot Lips. Had them for maybe 10 years. Work pretty well, no complaints.

One split along a seam when dropped. Super glued it, been working since.

Those all aluminum mags look pretty nice, except the price.

Mostly I pack the factory 10 rounders when I am out wanderin'.

Cheers
Trev
