I held a Sako Kodiak in 338 Win Mag @ Italian Sports this last Tuesday that is a beautiful gun.

I've been looking at the Ruger Alaskan in 416 Ruger but I have to say the Ruger even though it is a solid rifle is a piece of crap when you compare it to the Kodiak...

The bolt of the Sako is glass smooth and the trigger is to die for...

Just wondering if a 375H&H Kodiak can be rechambered to a 375RUM would be an ultimate rifle for me plus I wouldn't have to reload another cartridge. :D

My Sako 85 Gray Wolf has a detatchable mag you have to push up on the front of the mag and hit the release at the same time to release it.

It's actually fairly tough to do with one hand so I wouldn't have an issue if the Kodiak has the same mag system and I assume it does.

You can also top up the mag without removing it from the rifle it loads exactly like a regular floor plate style.

The only problem with the mag, would be the fat RUM case might not feed as well as the H&H...If you have a L/A mag already, try feeding some brass through it...
