i dont own any... and this got me pissed right off.... i cant imagine how pissed you guys must be..... i have my rpal but i find that absolutly rediculous....only corrupt politicians fear armed citizens.... i did own a m14 at one point cant imagine that getiing the restricted or like deckard said soon to be prohib... only a range gun give me a break... im going to follow this info...

Why don't you ask marstar what happened to his FSN vz58s. Ask canam what happened to his type 97s. Also try to find out why they have been held by the cbsa since January 16.

Also why the senate bill s-5, basically running along side c-301, put forth by peter van loan, which basically gives unfettered power to the CFO.
 
Crazy thought here, if guns are not prohibited by name why not just convert them to straight pull bolt actions. Admittedly it isn't as good as keeping them intact but atleast we could keep them.
 
Ok I believe it, but where is this information coming from? Why do the people in the know refuse to tell us themselves? This 2nd hand info s**t is quite a detriment to getting anything done.

I have been informed that they are carrying out underhanded practices in an attempt to take lawfully possesed firearms out of the hands of law-abiding citizens and otherwise force them out of common use. They are reportedly attempting to reclassify these firearms from non-restricted to restricted or even prohibited in an effort to make an end run around Canadian Legislative Process and thereofre, the Government of Canada. I do not appreciate these actions and am beginning to feel that we are coming perilously close to a police state in this country. Who controls whom, here? Does the Government control the Police, or do they control the Government? I await your reply, but not in words, but in deeds.

There are multiple sources leaking information right now. Currently they are putting themselves at risk. It is up to them to out themselves. Currently information is being kept back and being used in Ottawa quietly to protect these people.

How about some proof to back it up? The government has not said a word about any new OICs - which is exactly what would be required to do that. Innuendo and conjecture is not evidence.

Norinco M14s and SKSs are still very much non-restricted and not under review - I've had one of each transferred in the past 24 hours. If you look in the vendor forums, there is a cery clear and concise post from the primary importer of CZ 858s that the rumours of them becomming restricted or prohibited are absolute bunk. There is no mention of reclassification of Ruger Mini 14s/Ranch Rifles on any site that I've found, indeed vendors are still selling them and still transferring them.
