This works great for reloading, no needs to spend $100 on another one.

Don't know what you mean about the batteries though, I have used mine for at least 6 months and I am still on the original.

LOL I bought one almost 2yrs ago on special to be ready for when i buy my reloading kit. Well, i still do not have the kit, and have never used the caliper lol. But now I have added powder and bullets to go along with the caliper, so hopefully this summer I will buy the reloading kit.

I compared 2 of them to my Mitutoyo ($200 vernier caliper) and they were never out by more than 0.002" Most measurments were dead on.

My dollar store sells the batteries 8/$1 I just bought 2 packs the other day.

I have 3 of the Digital Calipers already so I think I am good for awhile.

just be in the habit all....... of resetting them back to zerro every time you start using them....
this is not a problem with them..its just a bit of being a little extra cautious..
